Beginners can refer to the simple step by step guide drawing with the pen to sketch below

Step 1

Start with a circle and then add a guide on the face. Then you will draw the small shape of the griffin body and then add the triangular wing lines as you see here. Finally, add the tail line.

Step 2

All you will do here is draw two good sized circles for the eyes, and then color them. You will add some details at the bottom of the eye as you see here and then draw the small mines.

Step 3

This is where you will start sketching out the top shapes of the chibi gryphon head and then add some feathering details. Next draw the outlined shape of both ears as you see here and add eyebrows.

Step 4

Finish sketching the face and then adding details and definition inside the ear. Sketch the shape of the body, and then draw the fore legs, and add toes and chest hairs.

Step 5

You're almost done. Start sketching out the unique chibi wings and then adding details to the feathers as you see them here. Do not rush this step because getting the wing out is probably one of the more important things.

Step 6

Finish drawing the lower half of the chibi gryphon body and then withdraw the legs and tail. As you know all griffins have tail lion tails, so make sure you add some hair to the tail end. You can start deleting all the tutorials and shapes you draw in step one to clean up your drawing!

Step 7
