Step 1


Start off by drawing Medusa's eyes. Use two thick curves to outline each eye. Use curves to surround a part of a circle in each line. Then use the curves to create boomerangs.

Step 2


Use a curve to outline the nose. Then use two loose, curved "M" and a curved line to outline the lips. Draw a short line at each corner of the mouth.

Step 3


Use curves to outline the chin and the edges of the face. Notice the overlap of the lines just under the eyes. Then draw the first snake to replace Medusa's hair. Use two overlapping curves to outline the head and body. Use a different curve for the mouth and surround a teardrop shape aside to represent the eye.

Step 4


Draw the edges of the second snake's body using curves. Use another one for the head, overlapping body lines. Use a curve for the mouth and a small oval for the eyes. Use a curve around the circle of the other coil.

Step 5


Use curves to outline the body of another snake and a third curve that overlaps the head. Draw a curve for the mouth and a teardrop shape for the eye. Using the curves to surround the additional windings, a curve denotes the curvature of a coil.

Step 6


Sketch the body of another snake using curves, which surround the face. Use another overlapping curve to form the head, with a curve for the mouth and an oval for the eyes. Wrap another coil using a curve.

Step 7


Draw another snake, using the curves for the body, head, and an additional coil. Use a curve for the mouth and an oval for the eyes. This will surround the rest of the face.

Step 8


Draw another snake, again using the curves for the body, head, and an additional coil. Use curves for the mouth and an oval for the eyes.

Step 9


Draw the final snake, again using the curves to outline the body, coil, and head. Draw the mouth using a curve and an oval for the eyes.
