Step 1:
First, draw the roots. Draw a bunch of small wavy lines up and down.
Step 2:
Next, you draw the trunk. From the top of one of your roots on the far left, draw a long straight line going up. Draw another long line across the origin on the far right. To add detail to your trunk, add some black dots around the inside of the trunk.
Step 3:
Now draw the branches. From the top of the tree trunk on the left, draw a moderately oblique line going away from the tree. Do the same thing on the right side of the tree. Now draw a large “V” in the middle of your diagonal lines. You know there are branches!
Step 4:
Then you draw the branches out of the branches. Just draw some big “V’s” from the branches.
Step 5:
To finish, draw the leaves. Draw large raised half-circles on your branches and twigs but instead of using a line, draw small bumps to make the leaves stand out. Draw a half circle using the hump, out of the top of the tree. Do this again upside down. Make sure that the last half circle connects to your trunk. Do the same steps for the other side of the tree. For more detail, draw some humps inside the outline of the tree to make it look leafy.
Birch trees grow in Europe, Russia, Japan and North America. They are a beautiful plant, not very wide but growing tall. Birch trees can grow up to 40 feet tall. Their stems are round and pencil-like. The bark of the birch tree is thin and looks like paper. Plants like to grow around water and can live up to 200 years! Birch bark can range in color from chalky white to golden yellow. Their leaves are round and some have sharp ridges all around.
